Editor Marie Scott started her journalism career on the famous Tailor & Cutter magazine and has maintained her links with Savile Row over the years. This gives her an unrivalled knowledge of and experience in the Row.
She went on to found Scott Taylor Publishing Ltd with her late partner John Taylor, who was the acknowledged authority on men's style from his time as Editor of the Tailor & Cutter and creator of Man About Town magazine, and as the leading writer and broadcaster of his time on men's style.
She has also been Editor of Sir International based in Amsterdam; Editor of Menswear, then UK trade weekly journal; London columnists for Der Herr in Germany; Textile Revue in Switzerland and other overseas magazines; and has written for The Times, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and contributed to a wide range of other newspapers and magazines in the UK and overseas.
With Taylor, she launched British Style magazine, which promoted British quality to international buyers, and has published editions in China, Japan and Korea in the relevant languages. Scott Taylor Publishing produced daily papers for all the UK clothing trade exhibitions during the 1970s and 80s, as well as for the wine trade and London Fashion Week.
The company now concentrates upon Savile Row Style online. Each edition features reports on bespoke tailors, developments in and around Savile Row, latest cloths, male grooming and other topics of interest to men who want style and quality. Luxury travel, cars, wine and food, gifts and cultural activities may all be featured.
It is updated on a quarterly basis, over February, May, August and November.
